Teen Tech Awards - Double Winners!

On Monday 25th two teams represented Farlingaye High School at the Nation Finals of the TeenTech Awards. The awards have run for 9 years and promote STEM in schools. Students were asked to research and investigate a problem, develop and prototype an end solution.

Joash, Tristan and Harry in Year 8 produced a pollution fighting autonomous drone which won the Environment category. These students have made a habit of winning having won the Little Big Awards the year previous!

Alice, also Year 8, produced an app which helped users by selecting outfits for moods and occasions whilst offering an a trade and sale option. This app won the Fashion category.

It was a tremendous effort given the quality of the finalists and really pleasing to see the students hard work recognised.

They now have the opportunity to present their winning ideas to HRH Duke of York at Buckingham Palace in October.

A huge well done from all at Farlingaye High School.
